Capcom’s Captivate embargo will end in just few hours today but that hasn’t stopped things from leaking out…and chief among them is arguably Capcom’s biggest game in its stable – yep, I’m talking about Resident Evil 6, of course.
The trailer, which can be seen below, shows off a bunch of new info and one of these is the game’s new release date. Now, before we divulge that, I must warn you that while the trailer is officially from Capcom, there are still a few things here that can be considered spoiler-ish. So, if you absolutely do not want anything ruined for you, I suggest not watching the video after the midway point.
Still here? Good! The footage shows us that the all-new “C” virus is the one plaguing the world and there’s also a mysterious woman with nefarious intentions, too!
Oh, and unless my eyes deceive me, there’s a little bit near the end where Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield get into a physical confrontation regarding this woman’s “importance.”
To put a long story short, Leon wants to use her as a witness, while Chris, presumably, wants her dead – yeah, I won’t bother you with it, just go watch it for yourself.
While you replay the trailer over and over, don’t forget that at the very end of the footage, the game’s original release date — November 20, 2012 — morphs into October 2, 2012! Yes, the game’s release date has been moved by more than a month!
Hopefully, the game can live up to its amazing lineage. We’ll report more news regarding Resident Evil 6 and Capcom’s Captivate event as it develops.
