The class, which is still under-development as we speak, will be called the Mechromancer class and will be available as post-launch DLC or free for those who pre-ordered the game. The Mechromancer will be a female class but one that’s mixed-in with cybernetic parts. She will also be able to control a large robot called the D374-TP (Deathtrap).
In spite of all this info, Gearbox has still no definite time on when the DLC will drop – or what price it’s going to be for those who haven’t pre-ordered. However, Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford said that he hopes to price the DLC “comparable to most DLC.”
Aside from this tidbit, the developers also revealed that character customization tool to Borderlands 2. The game won’t just give you a stock number of choices to choose from – no, sir – you need to unlock your gear if you want to change your character’s wardrobe.
Lastly, they also announced a special edition of the game that will retail for $149.99 and will come in a package fashioned after a loot box from the game — Oh, and it will also include a Marcus bobblehead for those collectors out there.
Borderlands 2 will be out this coming September 18 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
