Assassin’s Creed 3 Details – Hunting, Weather Conditions, Combat and More

The latest issue of PSX Extreme (#176) has a ton of Assassin’s Creed III info and we’re here to share some of it with you today.

First up, the game’s protagonist – Connor – will be able to use firearms, bows, throwing knives, a hammer and a sword in addition to his tomahawk and “wrist blade.”

Players will able to hunt and skin wild animals in the game. There will be over 30 animals in the game and their pelts can be sold off for money. It also states that the value of the pelts depends on how the player kills the animals, suggesting multiple ways to skin a cat -so to speak.

The game will feature seasonal changes and weather conditions which will change throughout the game. While players might need to revisit certain areas of the game, the changing seasons/weather will shake things up a bit. Also, weather changes are not just visual effects – a good example is that snow will impair mobility for Connor.

It’s also mentioned that the game is capable of supporting 2,000 characters on screen at once and Connor will partake in “great” battles throughout the game.

Assassin’s Creed III will be out this Oct. 30 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
