It seems a user on popular gaming forum NeoGaf has managed to get his hands on videos and screenshots from an “old, old” build of Star Wars: Battlefront III.
The user, who goes by the forum handle “Borman,” states that “I have no idea who is working on the game or anything of that nature. Nor do I know exactly where these came from. But they are real.”
He also shares that the Xbox 360 build seen below is from March 2008, while the leaked video was likely PC footage which was taken close to November of 2008. He believes that the vid shown is a quick compile/port of the PC version – unoptimized and with PC references still intact.
The footage shown below was being worked on by Free Radical at the time and it’s heavily-rumored now that the game is in Spark Unlimited’s hands. In any case, the video represents an early alpha of the game so expect it to be buggy and not at all polished.
If you’re interested to see screenshots of the Free Radical version of the game.
What do you think? Would the game have turned out well if Free Radical was allowed to continue working on it?
