While The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition will be out on April 17 for the Xbox 360, could a PS3 version be in the pipeline, too?
The game’s developer – CD Projekt – has admitted that they’d want a PS3 version of the game too but they cited manpower issues as the team was not big enough to work on both Xbox 360 and PS3 versions simultaneously.
Well, it seems now we have proof that the game will also indeed be making an appearance for Sony’s console.
This evidence was revealed by Polish site Niengrani who posted a picture of a Polish newspaper that was promoting the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game.
Okay, the next bit is a bit hazy since it’s translated (Google) from Polish to English but it goes down like this: The site contacted the newspaper and told them that must have had the pictures wrong since The Witcher 2 isn’t slated to appear on the PS3 – the interesting thing is, the newspaper said it’s not an “error.”
The quote, which was roughly translated, can be read below”
After attempting to resolve the matter with the artists they told newspapers that he is not a mistake. Does Witcher 2 will also appear on the PS3? Quite possibly’
It’s also worth mentioning that CD Projekt has revealed that they’re about to announce “something spectacular” on April 5, could a PS3 announcement of the game be that certain something?
Keep in mind that this is still a rumor for now. Heck, for all we know, the newspaper might really have just gotten it wrong, no? In any case, we’ll update the situation as it develops.
