BioWare to Stage “Operation Raptor” Challenge for ME3 MP this Weekend

Me3
BioWare has just announced that a new N7 challenge will be going live this weekend for Mass Effect 3 multiplayer fans.

Dubbed “Operation Raptor,” the challenge won’t specifically be about killing a set number of Brutes, Atlas’ or whatnot. This time the developers want people to “promote” their level 20 characters into the game’s single-player.

Essentially, promoting a character resets their level and also re-specs their entire skill tree back to zero but players will be given a huge boost in their Galactic Readiness rating for use in the game’s campaign.

The event will commence this coming Friday, March 30 at 5 a.m. PST and will last throughout the weekend up to 5 a.m. on Monday (April 2) PST.

For the actual challenges and their corresponding reward, read them below.

  • Allied (Global) Goal: Promote 150,000 characters.
  • Reward: Victory Packs awarded to all players upon completion.
  • Individual Goal: Promote 2 characters.
  • Reward: Commendation Pack awarded to individual players upon completion

Sadly, PS3 owners won’t be able to join in the fun as BioWare is still working with Sony to “resolve” this issue and have the challenges available to them, too.

Oh, and one last thing. People need to set the “Upload Gameplay Feedback” to “on” in the online options if they want to participate in the challenge.

Anyone up for this? Hopefully BioWare makes this a weekly thing to entice Mass Effect 3 players to keep on fragging away at Reapers, Cerberus and Geth.
