Is Canada-based developer Silicon Knights working on a follow up to their GameCube horror game Eternal Darkness? If comments from Denis Dyack – the studio’s boss is to be believed, it might just seem they are.
In an interview with GameIndustry, the outspoken developer admitted that they’re now developing games for the next-gen of consoles and although he didn’t give exact details, he did share this.
We’re really excited and we’re working on our next generation stuff. We’re working on an IP that’s our most requested and we’re really excited about that.
Yeah, he didn’t name any specific franchise but what else could Dyack be referring to? Could it be a sequel to the Xbox 360-exclusive Too Human? While the game was released to decent reviews, it didn’t exactly set the commercial world on fire…add in the fact that it took the studio more than nine years to finish the game – and well, the chances of it being it are very slim.
Hopefully, if they’re working on Eternal Darkness II, it goes multiplatform even if it’s just a spiritual successor as Nintendo still owns the rights to the IP itself.
