Slant Six, the studio most notably known as that other developer of the SOCOM franchise and now as the developer of the recently-released Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, has just teased its new game.
The game is titled: Strata Scavenger and will be the studio’s first original IP …and that’s about all we know for now. While details has been scarce, Slant Six did provide people a teaser image of a spacecraft hovering over a dense cloud of dust while red lightning litters the sky above.
Oh, and you can’t have an official image and tease without the developers themselves saying something, no? Slant Six had this to say (courtesy of NeoGaf):
Though we’re keeping this one close to our collective chests, we can tell you that Strata Scavenger is our first original IP, and we’re pretty stoked about it. The Canada Media Fund even granted us a cool million to develop the game, based on its creative and technical innovation. Strata Scavenger is set for release in 2013.
Yeah, you read that right! Canada is giving the Vancouver based studio a cool $1 million to develop the game. So, if the game turns out to be less than spectacular, you know who to blame.
Let’s just hope it turns out better than Operation Raccoon City, no?
