EA’s (pardon the pun) big gun for the FPS market this year will be Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Yep, there won’t be any Battlefield game going up against Call of Duty this year. Instead, that responsibility falls onto the guys of Danger Close.
If you’ve ever played the first Medal of Honor reboot, chances are you’ve noticed how much more sublime it was compared to other military shooters. There wasn’t really any “Michael Bay” moments in the game to speak of – in short, it was grounded and more realistic. Well, it seems for some reason they might be adding a bit more action into the game – at least if the recent teaser trailer is to be believed.
See what I mean? It’s more action-packed, no? Of course, that doesn’t mean that the entire game will be like this, so take it with a grain of salt.
One other thing to note is that the game will be coming out in October 23 – almost the same date Battlefield 3 was released last year. Will this be EA”s yearly “schedule” for its big FPS’? If so, it’s bound to go up against CoD once more.
