Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs Revealed

If you’ve played Amnesia at all, then you’d know the game was good. It might be one of the few “real” horror games out on the market today and we have great news! There’s going to be another one!

Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs will be a follow-up to the 2010 PC horror game. The game isn’t a direct sequel to Amnesia. It won’t feature the same characters nor will it follow the game’s story. It will instead, thread on the game’s same universe but in an alternate history.

The follow-up will be set in year 1899 and “follows the “wealthy industrialist” Oswald Mandus, who has returned home from “a disastrous expedition to Mexico, which has ended in tragedy.”

Struck by a destructive fever, Mandus is haunted by dreams of a dark machine until he mysteriously regains consciousness.

Months have passed, unbeknownst to the industry tycoon, and as he emerges from his slumber the roaring engine of a mysterious machine sputters to life”

The game is being developed by Dear Esther’s thechineseroom and by Frictional to be released exclusively on the PC.
