Developers all over the world are converging in Las Vegas now to take part in the D.I.C.E (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) summit and this year’s keynote speaker is none other than Bethesda Game Studios boss Todd Howard. Bethesda, is of course, responsible for last year’s critically-acclaimed RPG, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
During his keynote speech, Howard revealed that the average playtime of PC users playing Skyrim was an amazing 75 hours. He also revealed that his team didn’t even conduct a focus test for the game. Focus tests are done by publishers and developers to gauge an IP or game’s interest level in relation to consumers and its target demographic.
