Max Payne 3’s release date has been pushed forward few months by Rockstar Games. Previously it was set to launch in March but now it will be released in May.

It will be released in North America on May 15th and 18th internationally on consoles. PC version of the game has been pushed further to 29th May and June 1st internationally.

Speaking to press, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two games said:

We do not take changes to our release schedule lightly, and this short delay will ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our Company.

Max Payne 3 promises to be one of our most exciting releases to date, and we are confident that consumers will once again be amazed by Rockstar’s ability to take interactive entertainment to another level.

Take-Two games is expected to report a net loss for the fiscal year 2012 and that may be the only reason for pushing forward the release date of this highly anticipated title since May falls in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2013.
