With the rise of new year, rumors about the successors of both PlayStation and Xbox have caught fire again. Many predicted that both the companies will reveal the upcoming consoles at this year’s E3 but according to a report on The Street Wall Journal, Sony seems in no hurry.

The Speculations about the new console reveal was shot down by Sony’s Kaz Hirai at CES:

I’ve always said a 10-year life cycle for PS3, and there is no reason to go away from that,

I think it’s time that we control our excitement and hopes and stay contented with what we have. Microsoft on the other hand hasn’t revealed anything about the new console or its reveal at E3. Nintendo’s Wii U however, will be in it’s final forms and will be one of the highlights at E3 this year.
