PlayStation Vita Sales Decline in Second Week

Playstation Vita has just sold 72,479 units in its second week in Japan. It is close enough but still a bit too off to beat its predecessor the PSP which sold over 101,121 units in the same period.

When compared with the other hand-held consoles, PlayStation Vita is a way off in beating the 3DS that sold over 482,200 units. It sold even lesser than what Wii (81,179) and PlayStation 3 (75,943) managed to sell in the same period.

The decline in sales may look like a worrying sign but it isn’t because Vita has still Europe and US to conquer. Vita is expected to get a boost later in the year and if it doesn’t, Sony may need to seriously consider its pricing strategy like Nintendo did for 3DS.
