There’s still 3 months till the release of Mass Effect 3, but talks of a 4th ME game have precipitated, as creative director Casey Hudson gave an interview on Gamesmaster magazine.
There’s a lot of possibilities – we’re obviously pretty focused on ME3, but we know that people are going to want another ME game, and there are lots of different things we can do, Casey stated.
There are now technologies coming out for platforms, different ways in which people will be distributing games in the next generation, so all of that is congealing. We don’t have specific plans yet, but we know that we’re going to do something.
Casey also suggested that there are considerations of collaborating with developers such as DICE and the creators of Need for Speed for the development of Mass Effect 4.
You might expect some collaboration with DICE for example, but in terms of online features we liaised with the Need For Speed guys. Working with teams like that is as easy as making a phone call
Well, I don’t know about you, but I’d love to see a Mass Effect game made from Frostbite 2.0.
