Bethesda seems to be swimming in pools of money due to the mighty success of Skyrim. It’s something I wouldn’t say for every developer company, but they’ve really deserved this swim, as Skyrim is undoubtedly one of the best games to come out this year.
But the title is not finished yet, no sir. The folks at Bethesda Studios understand the expansiveness of the game, and to keep it ever-expanding, just like the universe you and I live in, Bethesda has some pretty big future plans for the RPG game.
They’ve even released what they’re working on to make Skyrim a fresh experience for a good while. Here’s a quick look at the future updates and enhancements for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim:
Creation Kit: Beginning in January, PC will be able to download the development tools used at Bethesda Game Studios to create Skyrim. Alongside this Creation Kit, the developing company will roll out a new Wiki and videos to help anyone interested to get started.
Steam Workshop: The Creation Kit isn’t just your usual editor; this baby will actually have Valve’s Steam Workshop integrated into it. The Creation Kit will bundle your mod and upload it to the Workshop, where everyone on Steam can browse, rate, and flag mods for download. The mods that you flag will automatically be downloaded and installed when you launch Skyrim.
Continued Game Updates: Those owning a copy of Skyrim would have enjoyed the update the rolled out this week. Bethesda says there’s plenty more to come.
An incremental update will be released next week, first for the PC, followed by the consoles later in the week. Additionally, after the holidays there will be more updates, some major while others more technical and incremental.
