Ah Pirates! I just love them! At least they always give you something to write on. Making news can get a bit costly. Sometimes they pay almost 100 times for the actual worth of the good or have to face an exile, and sometimes both. This is something that actually happened to one of the outlaw, who was caught while playing Modern Warfare 3, which is yet to be released officially. A lifetime ban for online play and $5000 is what his impatience cost him, plus he never even got the full game.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 doesn’t come out until Nov. 8. But pirates have already obtained the video game — one of the most-anticipated of the year — Venture Beat has learned.
The PC version of the game, or at least part of it, has been circulating among pirates in the U.S., who illegally copy and share it without paying Activision Blizzard or its retailers. That’s a big problem, as Activision is expecting to sell more than 20 million copies of the game this year and break the previous records.
