It’s BlizzCon 2011 and Blizzard took the center stage to announce the next expansion pack for World of Warcraft. It’s called World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria and will feature Pandarians, a race of humanoid pandas that Blizzard introduced several years ago as April Fool’s joke for Warcraft III.
Blizzard has also announced that they will begin to offer an annual subscription plan for WOW, which can be paid in monthly installments. To stimulate the interest, they will be giving away a free copy of Diablo III to everyone who buys annual year plan.
Mists of Pandaria apart from featuring a new race, will introduce a new playable Monk class as well as the new area ‘Land of Pandaria’, a China-inspired country which has been a peaceful place so far.
Pandaria will host the war between the two factions in Mists of Pandaria, and intensity of the action will be similar to the classic Warcraft III. Which is legen…dary.
Blizzard didn’t give away any release dates but that shouldn’t be a surprise. It’s more of the same statement, done when it’s done or whatever they say when asked about release dates.
