Activision has released a new video showcasing some of the changes in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer mode. These changes include amendments in the kill streak system, how perks are unlocked and progression according to the style-of-play of a player.
Streaks in Modern Warfare 3 are no longer only kill-based; you get streaks credits for other actions, such as support. There is also mention of the different types of Strike Packages. The Strike Packages are of three types: The Assault Package, The Support Package, and the Specialist strike package.
The Assault package is the conventional Call of Duty Strike package, rewarding players who stack kills without dying. The Support package caters to those interested in helping others out.
The Specialist is a unique package that initially grants you three perks, and for every two kills a new perk is unlocked. Eventually, when you get up to eight kills, you unlock all the perks, becoming a sort of super-soldier.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is heading towards a slightly new direction as far as the multiplayer is concerned. We hope to hear more about the game before its release on November 8 this year.
