When you will start Forza Motorsport 4 for the first time, you will asked whether you want to start a new game or import your profile from Forza Motorsport 3. If you choose to import, you will receive extra credits for being a loyal Forza Motorsport fanatic and a few of the cars that you had in your garage will now be transferred to Forza Motorsport 4.
Profile import doesn’t effect your level in Forza Motorsport 4 Career Mode, you will start at the beginning ‘level 0’. When you import the Forza 3 profile, you will get these cars depending on your level:
- Level 1 – 2010 Abarth 500 Esseesse
- Level 5 – 2009 Ford Focus RS
- Level 10 – 2010 Chevrolet Camero SS
- Level 15 – 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro
- Level 20 – 2009 Bugatti Veyron 16.4
- Level 30 – 2009 BMW #92 Rahal Letterman Racing M3 GT2
- Level 40 – 2006 Aston Martin #007 Aston Martin Racing DBR9
- Level 50 – 2009 Peugeot #9 Peugeot Sport Total 908
8 Free cars if you are Level 50 in Forza Motorsport 3 and import the save file in Forza Motorsport 4. Additionally if you have these cars in your Forza Motorsport 3 garage, they will be transferred to Forza Motorsport 4.

Finally, some of the cars from DLC packs will also be transferred to Forza Motorsport 4 when you import Forza Motorsport 3 save file.

Forza Motorsport 3 Unicorn Cars that will be transferred to Forza Motorsport 4 are:

Damage, Cockpit, and Shader Upgrades have been changed on all cars in between two games. Which means you can’t import your livery designs but you can import layer groups in livery editor area. Select ‘My Designs’ in Forza Motorsport 4 and import all groups.
The bottom line is, if you want to get the maximum out of the profile import feature, make sure you own these cars in Forza Motorsport 3 and you driver level in career mode is 50.
