The long-awaited shooter by Crytek which was released back in 2007 on PC has finally made its way to consoles. PS3 and Xbox 360 owners can now download the game from PSN for £15.99 and Xbox Live Market Place for 1600 Microsoft Points respectively. The game is not the exact replica of the PC version as there are small Nanosuit tweaks included to optimize the gameplay for consoles. And then it also has a full stereoscopic 3D support.
Cevat Yerli, Chief Executive Officer of Crytek is quite excited about the launch:
We’re really excited to bring the legendary Crysis to gamers who weren’t able to experience it the first time around. The CryENGINE 3 has allowed us to remaster the single-player campaign and make significant advancements to the gameplay. We’ve added a new lighting system, some advanced rendering techniques and most importantly, we’ve optimized the Nanosuit controls to utilize its full potential on a gamepad. We really hope that gamers will enjoy playing the game as much as we’ve enjoyed developing it.
Fine, the graphics won’t be same as the game running on a high-end PC but if you have been longing to try the original installment in the series then no one is interfering now. All you have to do is login, pay a small price and start shooting the crap out of those aliens with the help of the cool Nanosuit you will have.
