Bethesda Reveals PC System Requirements For Rage

By   /   Sep 7, 2011

Id Software’s upcoming game Rage has captivated everyone with its fantastic graphics – a feat that id Soft is very well known for. Of course, the graphics are the primary concern for the folks looking to get the PC version of the anticipated title.

That is why Bethesda has released the official system requirements for the game on their official blog. The requirements are:

  • OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo or Equivalent AMD
  • Memory: 2GB
  • Hard Disk Space: 25GB
  • Video Card: GeForce 8800, Radeon HD 4200

  • OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad or Equivalent AMD
  • Memory: 4GB
  • Hard Disk Space: 25GB
  • Video Card: GeForce 9800 GTX, ATI Radeon HD 5550

The current demand nowadays is not only of good graphics, but good graphics and great performance, and judging by the above information, I daresay that Rage will manage to achieve both.

Id’s been around for a long, long time, so it’s quite a no-brainer they’d tweak their amazing new id Tech 5 engine to both look good and perform good.

The most curious part however, is the ridiculous amount of hard disk space required for the game. 25GB is arguably the largest amount of space ever needed for a retail game.

So what do you think about these requirements? Do they meet up with your rig, or disappointingly surpass them? Share your thoughts by commenting below.
