By   /   Aug 31, 2011

Yet another 3D device from Sony. The new HMZ-T1 is a head mounted high-definition 3D display that can be used for viewing 2D as well as 3D content, providing the experience of watching a 750-inch screen from a distance of 65 feet. Impressive, Indeed. But will it be good for gaming? Well, i am not so sure.

Anyways, HMZ-T1 comes with a two 0.7 inch OLED displays with a resolution of 1280 x 720, one for each eye, along with an integrated 5.1 surround sound headphones and a separate processing unit round out the package. It will also contain a secondary HDMI port for another headset or display.

The device will hit store shelves in Japan on November 11, 2011 at a price of ¥40,000 (784.2$). I won’t be surprised if the price tag alerts you a bit. The device is also expected to be released in US at the end of this year.
