How many times you see your child using multiple screens at the same time? there are commercials on TV or a computer game is being loaded, kids will use their mobiles or other portable gadgets to fill in the breaks.
It’s a common practice these days. There are various other combination that can be put in context of viewing multiple screens, such as gaming on multiple screens.
Researchers at Bristol and Loughborough universities in UK have conducted a survey from a sample of sixty-three 10 and 11 year old’s for “multiple screen viewing” and deduced that this practice can make children slow and less active.
According to Russ Jago of Bristol University’s center for exercise, nutrition and health sciences:
Health campaigns recommend reducing the amount of time children spend watching TV. However, the children in this study often had access to at least five different devices at any one time, and many of these devices were portable.
