Bethesda Announces Dishonored, A Stealth Action Game

By   /   Jul 7, 2011

Bethesda isn’t going to hold back this year, even after the mediocre success of Brink and somewhat below average performance of Hunted. They are bringing a new IP ‘Dishonored’ by Arkane Studios, the developer behind Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

The catch ? the lead designer on the game is Deus Ex veteran Harvey Smith and visual architect is Viktor Antonov. Does this name sound familiar ? he was the visual architect of Half-Life 2’s City 17.
Exciting, isn’t it ?

Dishonored is the cover of the next issue of GameInformer, which will include the exclusive details about the game. For now, they have put out an overview for us to get excited:

It’s a game about assassination where you don’t have to kill anyone. It’s a game about infiltration where you can set up traps and slaughter the entire garrison of an aristocrat’s mansion rather than sneak in. It’s a game about brutal violence where you can slip in and out of a fortified barracks with nobody ever knowing you were there. It’s a game about morality and player choice where the world you create is based on your actions, not navigating conversation trees.

It’s sounds literally like a mix of Thief, Hitman, Deus Ex, Half-Life 2, Stalker, and Bioshock ? I will hold my thoughts for now. The official site is up, we will update you when there is new information about this game.
