No Surprise: Halo Anniversary Will Support Kinect

Phil Spencer, the corporate vice president of Microsoft Game Studios has confirmed that 343 Industries remake Halo Anniversary will support Kinect.

He accidentally slipped it out during an interview with Gamespot, saying:

Core focus for us in our press briefing this year with Kinect actually came from two sides, Spencer explained. As a first-party, we believe that Kinect will be important to all genres of games, be it racing games with Forza, combat games like Ryse. Even games like Halo Anniversary has Kinect integration.

It doesn’t come as a surprise one bit, atleast to me, after having watched the whole of Microsoft’s E3 Kinect Focused Press Conference. But Phil says, not everything they do, has to be Kinect.

It’s not a mandate that everything we do in first party has to support Kinect right now. But I will say, specifically with voice, that there are some things that just seem to make navigating and playing games so much easier…

So, that’s why they are doing, voice control will make it easier for navigating and playing Halo Anniversary. Remember, Kinect has yet to reach its full potential.
