Today in an effort to end the ongoing boycott of Battlefield 3, DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson has clarified that the bonuses from the Battlefield 3 pre-orders will eventually become available to all players.

The controversial Physical Warfare pack, which many anticipated would imbalance the game, will unlock for all players regardless of any region they are in, after a certain amount of time.

DICE manager on the official Battlefield 3 blog said:

If you do not pre-order Battlefield 3 at a retailer carrying the Physical Warfare Pack, don’t worry. We will unlock the contents of the Physical Warfare Pack for free to all Battlefield 3 players later this year.

He also clarified that UK retailer was merely the first to be announced and that every other retailer across the globe would carry the pack. He also said that Back to Karkland DLC is not on disk, it would be released at a later time.

He also promised to answer more pre-release questions within next two weeks to avoid any confusion.

Responding to this official announcement, Reddit which was the principal organizer of the boycott has ended the boycott, claiming victory of the internet.
