Bioshock Vita Will Be A Core Game

By   /   Jun 14, 2011

Irrational Games’ Ken Levine surprised everyone at Sony’s E3 2011 press conference when he told a Bioshock game was being developed for Playstation Vita.

He didn’t give any other information regarding the new handheld title, whether it will be remake or a new title. So during an interview with IGN, he clarified few details regarding the new-in-production title.

It’s a different project. It’s its own thing being built from the ground up, said Levine. That is going to be strange and surprising to people. I think we always want to surprise people. If I’m just saying ‘here’s BioShock 1 on Vita’, that’s something we could potentially do, but you don’t need us to do that. Somebody can make that happen.

So, it won’t be just another remake in the market, but completely new game that is bound to surprise fans of the series. Another re-assuring statement Levine made was “It’s a core game”. It would be interesting to see how it turns out when the game is released on Playstation Vita.
We will update you when we hear more information on this.
