We’ve seen quite a few Blockbuster-based movies get the LEGO game treatment, and this time it’s going to be Harry Potter. Yes people, a LEGO Harry Potter game, covering the last three books and the last four movies, is set to be released in the fourth quarter of this year and it’s called LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7.

Players will be visiting many famous locations from the books/movies, including the Grimmauld Place, Ministry of Magic, and Godric’s Hollow, and will encounter new faces and new magic, preparing them for the ultimate face-off against Lord Voldemort.

Developers have stated that the game will be an epic conclusion to the most successful movie franchise in history, giving fans more magic abilities and the inclusion of new elements unseen before. Of course, the hilarious charm and humor that comes with being a LEGO game will also be there, with the usual gameplay elements such as lots of puzzle solving and exploration.

It’s a great opportunity to add to your growing collection of LEGO games, not to mention another addition to the Harry Potter franchise for the Potter heads. LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is being developed by TT Games and will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive. It will be released towards the end of this year for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, the NGP, Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS, and PC.
