Gotham City Impostors – Customizations, Weapons, and Multiplayer

Gotham City Impostors
Batman: Arkham City isn’t the only Batman game currently in the works. Monolith Productions is working on another download-able multiplayer first-person shooter called Gotham City Impostors.

As the name suggests you will be assuming the role of Batman and Joker wannabes as they side with either The Bats or The Jokerz.
Gotham City Impostors will provide a load of customization options to players to alter their costumes and choose different body types such as speedy, nimble, or tough, which will then affect how your character plays.

You will also get to choose from a wide variety of weapons and gadgets which are all customizable. Thunder Dragon, for instance, is a customizable RPG that can shoot rapid-fire soda can missiles or slower, but more powerful molotov cocktail rockets.

Gotham City Impostors

Gadgets in Gothamy City Impostors are homebrewed and include things like ninja smoke bombs, glider rigs, grapple guns, and roller skates. That is not all, support items include pipe bombs, energy drinks, hatchets, and a trap-in-the-box.

Gotham City Impostors will feature a leveling system which will give you access to new weapons, items and customizations as you progress through the ranks. One of things that interest me is the ability to customize your calling card which shows up during your kill cam sequence.

The game will feature the traditional multiplayer battles with 4 vs. 4 matches which can be played exclusively with other human players. Though, there is no bot support. Besides a team death match mode, Monolith at the preview event showed off Psych Warfare mode which was very similar to capture-the-flag.

In this mode, the teams must take batteries to a brainwashing machine to charge it. Once it’s charged, you score points and motivation for your team while causing other team to panic which force other team limited to panic attacks instead of using their weapons.

Gotham City Impostors is in development at Monolith Productions, the guys behind original Fear game. So, you know it’s going to be good, Right ?
