Burnout Crash is cross between GTA (first two games) and Speed Demons. You start the game in fictional city called Crash City. The objective of the game is to earn points for creating traffic pileups. players initiate crashes by driving ‘cartoony’ vehicles (e.g., cars, trucks, vans, buses) into busy intersections, multiple crashes trigger score multipliers and rack up large ‘bills’ of property damage.
Levels range from crashing into police cars to over-sized airplanes or even use UFOs to eliminate the competition. The game has been given 10+ rating by ESRB which roughly falls in line with most of the previous games in the series.
MTV speculates the game might be a downloadble title then a retail version since it has a top down racing game. That would tally nicely with prior speculation that the game is the Crash Mode-specific PSN/XBLA title that developer Criterion Games has been working with since Burnout Paradise. It’s kind of sad that this isn’t coming to PC as PC gamers loathed the previously released Burnout Paradise.
And yeah, they are giant Lobsters in it too, make it what you want out of it, I have no clue. Developers Criterion are lip-tight on it at the moment, but we will surely be hearing more about it soon.
