Assassin’s Creed: Revelations Story and Gameplay Detailed
The latest issue of Game Informer has all the information you need to know about Assassins Creed: Revelations. Kind subscriber of the magazine has posted the summary of the information at NeoGaf and we will share that with you below.
As you may already know, Assassins Creed: Revelations will see Ezio return as the central character though he’s now an old man aged 50.
Story will follow Ezio as he looks for seals that hold the memories of his ancentor Altair. These seals will allow Ezio to take control of Altair’s consciousness, similar to what Desmond does with Animus to take control of his consciousness making Altair essentially a playable character in the game.
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is set up in city of Constantinole which has been split up into four main districts which are: Constantine, Beyazid, Imperial and Galata meanwhile players will also be visiting the Cappadocia region in central Turkey.
Every Assassins Creed game has introduced new items that enhance or somewhat influence the core gameplay elements of the game, like flying Ezio. Following the same tradition a new item called hookblade has been introduced in the game which lets you zipline across the city or grab enemies. This will also increase the speed with which you can travel around in the city. Remember the zipline in Just Cause 2 ? Yeah! that one.
Ezio will also have at his disposal 300 different bomb variations which will be craftable. Revelations will feature new enhanced eagle vision called Eagle Sense which let’s you focus on character and see where he’s been explaied Ubisoft’s Alex Amancio in an interview to the magazine.
You’ll get an approximation of where he will go. If you’re able to detect the path a guard will take, you can run ahead, set a bomb, and create a trap or an ambush.
Assassins Creed Revelations will feature Constantinople’s Assassin’s Dens, they are to Revelations what Borgia Towers were to Assassins Creed: Brotherhood. You will be clearing the resident Templars from these Dens to capture these allowing you to upgrade nearby buildings and add ziplines to adjacent rooftops.
You can lose control of your dens as you gain popularity but you can defend them by dispatching the troops or have one master assassin permanantly reside in making sure they never get taken.
Side event features in Assassin’s Creed: Revelations are scripted like while wandering around in the city you might spot a shop owner being robbed or a child seeking help.
Desmond is back and he has found a safe mode in the Animus called the ‘Black Room’ though which he can access lost memories. Leveling mechanic has been raised from 10 to 15.
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations multiplayer has also been enhanced with greater focus on narrative.
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is currently scheduled for a November release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
