Portal 2
Portal 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed puzzle/action shooter Portal. After the huge success of the original game, Valve has brought back Chell in Portal 2 in an extended experience compared to the first game.

In Portal 2 the player returns as Chell, having been in stasis for several hundred years while GLaDOS and the rest of the Aperture Science facility has fallen into disrepair. Chell is awakened by one of GLaDOS’s personality cores, and inadvertently wakes GLaDOS; GLaDOS is immediately displeased at Chell’s return and begins testing her again through numerous chambers as she rebuilds the dilapidated facility.

If you have played the first game, you will have an idea of how twisting it can be to solve all those puzzles and complete all those challenges the game throws at you. This guide will assist you in completing Portal 2 in its full glory with all the puzzles solved and challenges completed.

Portal 2 Walkthrough

Chapter 1 – The Courtesy Call

Tutorial that walks you through the basic controls of the game and takes you through the beginning areas of the original game. After following through the instructions when you get full control, move through the orange portal on your left and right through the door to the next passage. Now, grab the cub that drops and place it on the red pad which will open the door to the next area. Take the elevator to the first test chamber.

Test Chamber #1
You need to hit switches to turn on blue portals since you still don’t have portal gun. There is an orange portal behind you. Hit the switch on the right, enter the portal and grab the cube. Return to the middle and hit the left button which will allow you access to the red pad.

Now, enter the orange portal and place the cube on the pad to unlock the door. Come back into the center and press place the last blue portal. Finally, take the orange portal to reach the exit.

Test Chamber #2
Move toward the portal gun stand, ground will break and you will end up in waters below. Move forward taking the stairs to get the blue portal gun. Fire a blur portal and exit through the orange portal. Take right and head down the corridors until you find the next automatically generated orange portal. Fire a blue portal to exit through the orange portal, take left and fire another blue portal just near the exit. Now you need to back track through the orange portal and reach exit.

Test Chamber #3
Go down into the pit and fire a blue portal. Grab the cube that falls and take it with you through the portal. Place the cube on the red pad to unlock the door to the next area. Fire a portal down the pit to the right. Grab the cube from there and enter the portal. Drop the cube down to the main area and fire a new portal to make your way to the second cube at opposite platform.

Come back to pick up the second cube through the portals and drop down. Place both of these cubes down to unlock the door next to you. In the following room create another blue portal to move through the orange portal on the roof. Forward and reach the elevator that leads to the next test chamber.

Test Chamber #4
Create a blue portal on the floor and exit through the orange portal that is already there. Press the switch on the right to create a portal below the cube that drops. Pick up the cube and place it on the red pad to the right creating a set of stairs on the left.

Take the stairs, move up and shoot on the diagonal platform to create a portal. Press the switch on the left to release the cube and switch on the right to prevent the cube from entering into water. Take the second cube and place it on the red platform at the top of the stairs. Enter the door just unlocked that leads you to the next test chamber.

Test Chamber #5
On this floor fire a blue portal to exit out the orange portal above. Look down the long pit and fire another blue portal. Drop down and use the speed of the fall to propel you to the other side. Look down the hole to the left to locate a cube. Fire a portal here to release the cube back to the pit area. Hop back down and replace the blue portal at the bottom of the pit. Grab the cube and once again leap down below. Place the cube on the red pad on the right and enter the next room.

For this room place a blue portal on the tilted platform on the left. Jump down the pit below to enter the orange portal and be thrown to the cube above. From where you land, place a blue portal on the left side of the wall in front of you. Grab the box and drop down the orange portal. Place the cube on the red button to raise a platform leading to the exit. Drop back down the orange portal again to reach the elevator to the next floor.

Test Chamber #6
Move forward and create a portal behind Wheatley. Take the orange portal to move on to the other side. Wait for Wheatley to drop down to your Chapter. Pick up the personality sphere and insert it into the node on the wall. Follow his instructions, look away, and come back when he’s ready. Take Wheatley and move down to the new passage.

Test Chamber #7
Move to the other end of the room and fall onto the broken stairs below. Move down to the underground pad and place Wheatley in the main breaker room. After the cut scene you will find yourself in the incinerator room. Grab the duel blue-orange portal gun and move forward. Create an orange portal above and a blue one to the left to move beyond the barrier ahead. Create few more portal to get through the next barriers.

In the hallway that comes next, create one portal on the tilted wall and second in front of you. You need to move to the right through these portals. Make another blue portal above and one orange on the left wall to reach the floor above. Create another portal to get into next room. From there, move down the path on the left to reach elevator of this chamber concluding this chapter 1 of Portal 2.

Chapter 2 – The Cold Boot

Test Chamber #1
Go to the lift across the room. From there, fire a portal below the laser and second above the laser sensor. Lift will raise and take you to the elevator.

Test Chamber #2
Jump over the laser and create a portal on the ground. Create another portal below the laser reflection cube behind the barrier and gran the object. Put the box in front of the laser to change its direction and point it at the laser node. It will create the stairs, take the stairs and create a portal on the ground. Create a second portal below the cube to bring it up to your Chapter. Finally place this cube on the red button to open the door to the elevator.

Test Chamber #3
Create a portal next to you and another portal above to reach the top. Create one portal directly below the laser sensor node and the other on the right wall to catch the laser from the left wall. Grab the cube and leap across the platform. Place the cube near the second node of the laser to redirect it and open the door that leads to the elevator.

Test Chamber #4
Create an orange portal on wall to the left and a blue one across the way in the corner to the left. Enter the portal and get the cube by pressing the button. Now, fire a blue portal across wall ahead to catch the laser. Use the portal and laser will reach the through to the laser node else not. Take the cube to the other end of the platform. Now jump over the laser with the cube in your hands to avoid interrupting your ride. Finally, place the cube on the button and enter the elevator.

Test Chamber #5
Step on the jump platform to reach the other end of the pit. Press the button to release the cube in the center of the room. Use the jump platforms again to grab the cube. Land back down at the switch platform and place the cube on the large red button in the center. Doing that will reveal the elevator leading to the next test chamber.

Test Chamber #6
Get down to other end of the hall. Turn around and place portals on both of the tilted platforms. Using the jump platforms reach the other side of the room. Press the button to release a cube with some debris. Now this is tricky, grab it before it falls or you will have follow it below. Create a portal on the right wall and one above the switch button. Drop the cube through the portal to open the door leading to elevator.

Test Chamber #7
Pick up the cube and use it to block the laser. Blocking the laser will lower the lift to the next area. Now place a portal below the cube and one on the wall to restart the laser. Once you have reached top, place an orange portal on the further tilted platform and a blue portal below the cube to bring it to your Chapter.

Grab the cube and jump through the blue portal below. Momentum will lead you to the opposite ledge with a button pad. Leave the cube and create another orange portal on the other tilted platform. Drop down through the blue portal and speed will take you to the exit elevator.

Test Chamber #8
Take right through the barriers. These barriers will destroy objects and disable any portal you form, so a bit tricky but, if you are cautious you will get past these. Release a reflection cube. Fire a blue portal through the small round opening and a blue portal behind you.

Enter portal to pick up the cube. Return to the other side with reflector in hand and align it to make laser hit the sensor. Make your way through the barriers and right again to reach the elevator to conclude this chapter.

Chapter 3 – The Return

Test Chamber #1
Step onto to the faith platform till GLaDOS lowers the platform above the plate. Once the ceiling is lowered, use your portal gun at it and also on that horizontal band ahead of you. You can use the faith plate to get through it Now fire a portal onto the platform near the marked (with arrow) raised platform. Use that faith plate again to get through the tilted platform and then to the raised platform. Search for a button in the area, press it to release a redirection cube.

Use the second tilted platform to get to the cube. Once you have the cube use it to aim the laser on the far side. Use the third angled platform (use the same jump as before) to get to the platform with the exit door. Before you leave, you need to activate the switch with laser. Fire a portal on each side of the wall so that the laser is able to activate the switch.

Test Chamber #2
After you have entered the chamber, don’t step onto the faith plate and you will find a cube placed on an elevated platform. To get to the cube, cut off by a deep gap and then fire a portal at the bottom of the gap. Also fire one portal to the top of the wall behind you. Now use the fired portal in the gap to get to the platform. Get the cube and head back to the main floor with the cube.

Get to the faith plate and move towards the next Chapter. You can use the cube to block the laser which will also lower the barrier. Get to the faith plate again for the second launch and this time you will move farther. At the second Chapter you will get a redirection cube after you press the button. Get this cube and move to Chapter one. Move the old cube out of the way and this time redirect the laser to the wall opposite to you.

Get the first cube again and reach the second Chapter (using the faith plate). Now fire a portal into the wall near the button you pressed to release the redirection cube. This will make the laser to hit the switch on the other side. Place the cube again to the faith plate and this time you will be able to reach the third Chapter. Place the cube at the button and exit through the door.

Test Chamber #3
You will be able to see a surface that is intercepting the light bridge. Fire a portal at it’s surface and another portal to the wall across the gap. Press the button once you reach it. It will result into a wave if cubes falling from the wall. You need to get one of the cubes and to do so, come back to the place where you entered the chamber and while facing the gap, fire a portal onto the wall.

Using your portal on the bridge, get to the end and you will find a secret passageway near the cubes. Turn left and then fire another portal on the wall so that you can continue through the passage. At the end turn right and fire another portal which will adjust the bridge in such a way that you will be able to catch one of the cubes. Head back through your portal with the cube and fire a portal to the right wall so that bridge is connected to the button room.

Use your portals and get to the lower platform from the bridge to place the cube on the button. Once you have placed the button rearrange the bridge so that you can jump onto it and come back using your portals. Finally enter the exit door to enter into the next chamber.

Test Chamber #4
After entering the chamber, you will find a box dropped by the button into a pit. To get this cube, fire a portal on the bridge and one on the wall. After getting the cuber, return to start entrance by firing a portal at the end side of the bridge. Make a bridge across the gap and get to the other side (using the bridge) with the cube. You will have to fire a portal to lower down the bridge a bit before you can reach the button. Place the cube on the button to wrap things up.

Test Chamber #5
At the start of this chamber, you will find a turret facing to the other side. You can hop onto it to shut it down. Fire a portal (blue) on the wall ahead and the other portal (orange) behind the next turret after avoiding it. Walk through your portal to get rid of the turret.

Place a portal (orange) below the next turret and knock out the enemy using it. Further you will reach a room where you will find 2 turrets and three cubes. Place a portal above the turret and the second one below a cube to grind the enemies. You can use the same procedure for the other turret. Up ahead fire a portal below the turret nearest to the door. Fire a portal (orange) on the turret faced away from you and another (blue) turret on the wall to the left. Drop a cube through your orange portal to get rid of the enemy. Place another blue portal on the last of the turrets. Place the cube on the button and exit the chamber.

Test Chamber #6
Take the lift to get to the reflection (redirection) cube. Place this cube in front and center of the nodes. Fire a portal behind the right node and another portal behind the left node. After the lasers have been positioned, the door will open and you can leave the chamber.

Test Chamber #7
At the end of the light bridge, fire a portal while fire the other one (orange) on the turret to block it’s sight. Enter the portal and take care of the 4 turrets ahead you. Fire another blue portal and and get through it to take down the turret. Use the blue portal again the light bridge and then into a room. In the room first fire an orange portal to block the sight of turrets. Get to the jumping pad and instead and before you use it, fire another portal so that a wall is formed with the light bridge.

Now use the pad to get to the top floor and then get rid of all the turrets. Get the cube and head back to the main floor.Fire a portal (orange) on the pillars ahead for the protection purpose and then drop the cube onto the button below.Next, avoid the two turrets and place the orange portals above them. Head back first and place a blue portal to get rid of the remnant enemies. Get to the elevator to conclude this chapter.

Test Chamber #8
Fire a portal (orange) below the laser and the other one (blue) in front of enemy guns. Stand on the switch and the laser will destroy the guns. Take the cube and place it on the button. Get that reflection cube and destroy the other 3 enemy turrets. Finally you can use the same cube to adjust the laser (with the sensor node) to open the exit doors for you.

Test Chamber #9
Place the portals like you have done before i.e Blue to the end of the bridge and the orange portal to the wall. Move through your orange portal and once you get near to the laser, turn back and fire a portal (orange) on the wall to the right side.

Get the cube and enter the blue portal. Use this cube to block the node (place it in front of the laser) and which will move the lift. While standing on the lift, turn back and place a portal to change the light bridge so and hence the cube can fall on the button. This will move you to an open elevator.

Chapter 4 – The Surprise

Chamber #1While you are in cover behind the light bridge, fire a portal to the wall (white) that is to the far side of the room. Hurry towards the left area and place a blue portal here. Fire another blue portal at the end of the bridge and other portal (orange) in front of the reflection cube containers. Press the button to your right side and if the bridge is place properly, the cubes will fall down to the main area.

Now fire an orange portal to get back and then grab both the cubes. You can use the orange portal and the light bridge to be saved from the the turret. Place one of the 2 cubes under the laser so that it targets the first 2 nodes and the other one should be aligned near the turret so that it is destroyed. After destroying the turret move the cube to the farther side to align it with the three laser nodes. Now fire an orange portal to move the bridge to leading to the exit.

Test Chamber #2
Position your first on the ceiling aboce the first dedirection cube. Place the orange cube on the ground and use it to grab the first cube. Drop back and place a blue portal on the position of the lase. Now align a cube at the laser so that it is redirected to the first node. Head back and this time place a blue portal above the jumping pad. To make the cube bounce bonces against the jump pad , place the the cube into the orange portal.

Once the cube has attained sufficient height, place a blue portal on the wall above the wall to the right. This will move the cube next to to second node. You need to repeat the same procedure but only this time you will bounce yourself instead of the cube. After reaching the node and the cube, place the cube in such a way that it hits the third node. Head back to the main floor.

Again use the jump pad and the portal to launch yourself but this time you should place the blue portal to the right side wall of the entrance. This will place the cube near the entrance. Place the blue portal back to the entrance and also drop down the orange portal here. Now before you redirect the laser to the final node, you can use the cube from here to destroy the turrets. Head back to the bottom and place blue portal on the jump pad. Launch yourself again and during your ride, place another blue portal to the corner beside the main entrance. You will land near the exit where you can leave for the next chamber.

Test Chamber #3
Place a blue portal on the pillar in such a way that it faces all three nodes. Now head back to the room and place an orange portal to contact point of laser. Now arrange the 2 reflection cubes in such a way that laser passes through the orange portal hitting the nodes across. With all the nodes activated, the passage to the elevator will open.

Test Chamber #4
Place the two portals, orange on the panel above and the blue one on the right side wall. Follow Wheatlley to escape the area through the door. You need to be fast enough otherwise the poisonous gas can suffocate you to death.

Test Chamber #5
Follow Wheatley and keep a low profile till you destroy the turrets from behind. Position the orange portal against the wall on the right and then after turning left, place the blue portal at the pillar through the hole. Move through the portal and keep on following the robot till you reach the exit.

Chapter 5 – The Escape

Test Chamber #1
Shoot a blue portal through the half opened door and an orange portal to the left. Walk through the portal and move along the catwalk. You will reach a halted conveyor belt. Move along and jump across to the left platform. Next, jump down and move quickly from this place or you can be crushed. Cross some more catwalks and make sure that you jump over the broken floors at the right time.

Fire the blue portal at the wall to the far side and position the orange portal at he room above you. Move through the portals and in the next area fire the orange portal across the chasm and the blue portal on any wall nearby. Again enter the portals and place the blue portal on the wall ahead. Now walk through the orange portal to reach a catwalk and then ultimately to an area with convulated tube. Use this tube to get to the exit.

Test Chamber #2
Position the blue portal on the wall above the belt. Place the orange portal to the wall behind and use it to reach the the belt. Move along the belt and get to another belt across the pipes. Move along it to a platform and keep on moving till you have passed the grill. Position the orange portal on the wall across the window and the blue portal anywhere in the vicinity and head to the room ahead.

Next, place your orange portal across the hall. Once the turret appears, shoot a blue portal behind the target it is going to shoot. The turret will stop fire and you can pass through without being hit. Meet Wheatley and once the door is hacked (by Wheatley), head to the turret control room and destroy the test turret. Head back to the catwalk platform and catch the turret moving to the waste. Place this turret in the control scanner to move to the next chamber.

Test Chamber #3
Use the lift to get to the top platform. Press the button beside to open the door. Fire your blue portal at the wall that is being hit by the laser. Walk through h the door and position an orange portal to call the laser against the moving walls. Laser will destroy the connected poisonous tubes . Move back to Wheatley and head to the next area.

Test Chamber #4
Position the blue portal on the ceiling above (flashing point) and the orange portal anywhere in the vicinity. Move through the portals to the next area. You will fall down once you try to open the door. Next, position the robot (Wheatley) on the node. Climb the stairs and place the blue portal on the white platform. The blue portal can be placed on either wall. Move through the portals and place the blue portal to the wall opposite to you. Move on and press the switch to conclude the chapter.

Chapter 6 – The Fall

Test Chamber #1
Move through the tubes and you will come across a surface separated by fence. Fire two portals, one (blue) through the fence on the wall across while the orange one on the wall in front of you. Move through the portal and position an orange portal above you.

Head back through the portals and then move down the hill to reach another fence. Fire the orange portal ahead of you and the blue one on the catwalk. Use the portals to reach the down floor. Move left and place a portal (orange) on the wall to the right side. Place the blue portal on the catwalk above.

Move along the pathway till the end. Here place an orange portal at the bottom and then get back to the ground Chapter. Move the switch to open the door. Place a orange portal on the left wall above the platform and the blue one on the white wall.

Walk through the portals to reach the platform on the other end of the room. Fire the blue portal to the second catwalk platform. Press the button and walk through the portals and press the second button before it is too late. It will open the exit.

Test Chamber #2
Head to the top of the platform and fire an orange portal through the broken door. Place the blue portal near your position and move through it. Press the switch to enter the Aperture Science Innovators. Place two portals, one near the tall wall and the other one should be placed so that it facilitates you to get to the top.

After you have reached the top, drop 2 portals, one at the pillar and the other to the floor downwards. You will be moved by the Aperture logo once you leap through the portal. Keep on moving till you reach a tower. Get to the top using the lift and fire a blue portal to the tilted roof at the distant side.

Move down the tower a couple of Chapters. Position an orange portal below before you leap down. You will be bounced to the catwalk keep on moving along the catwalks, position a couple of easy portals and move to the exit to leave the chamber.

Test Chamber #3
Use the gel to get to the other side of the room. Position your blue portal ahead and move to the ledge. Place an orange portal here and move through the blue portal. Bounce from the gel and press the switch this time to release a cube.

Get the cube form the floor and using the place portals, place the this cube on the weighted switch. Exit the room through the grill. Climb the stairs and place an orange portal on the catwalk. Place the blue portal so that you can get to the upper catwalk platform. Keep on moving along the catwalk and enter the room.

In the room position the blue portal on the roof above the moving surface. Head left and shoot the orange portal to the wall above the blue gel. As soon as the moving platform is under your blue portal, you need to move through the orange portal. Get onto the platform and grab the cube. Leave the platform and place the blue portal next to the red switch.

Take the cube and using the portals and the blue gel you can get to the switch where you need place the cube which will flip a button revealing a white platform. Pick up the cube again and use the gel to bounce again and this time to reach a white platform. Place the orange portal on this surface, enter your blue portal again and hop onto another grill.

In the room, jump on (using the gel) either side wall to get the cube. Bring it back and place it on the button to reveal the white surface again. You can move back through the grill and then place blue portal on the wall. Move down again and place the orange portal above the gel as before. Travel through these portals to reach the exit.

Test Chamber #4
Move across the broken supports to reach the area to the right. Position a blue portal at the top of the pillar to the extreme right which is coming out of the water. Now place an orange portal to any of the other towers so that you can get to the top. From this position place another portal to the to reach the room. The switch to the right will release a gel on the wall and the floor.

Place the blue portal to the upper Chapter to the far left side. Place another portal on the white wall above. Now to cover the ground with gel, once you are at Chapter 3, place the blue portal to the wall below you. Place another portal on the ground under the grill.

Wait till the gel reaches above your portal and then quickly remove it so that that gel falls to the ground. Now since both the floors are covered with gel, you can move through the grill.

Move left and now you need to place the orange portal again (the first one will be removed by the grill). For more gel to reach the third Chapter, you should place blue portal on the slanted platform. Place the orange portal below move through it. If all the gel is spread properly, you will end up at the elevator.

Test Chamber #5
Position your orange portal on the gel while the blue one on the over the switch above. Jump onto the gel to activate the switch. The switch will stop water for a short time and this time you should place your blue portal on the wall to the left side.

As the gel falls, use it to reach the grill that will lead you ahead. Place the orange portal on the gel and the blue on the slanted wall. After the right side wall is covered with gel, position a blue portal on the top of the wall behind you.

Move up there and place the blue portal back to the slanted wall and the orange portal should be placed on the floor below. Jump onto your orange portal to bounce and move through the second grill. You will have a chance to place the blue portal below the gel emitter.

Move up the stairs and position the blue portal on the white portion of the second pillar. After the gel is covered with gel, place the orange portal on the floor below. Jump onto the portal to bonce to the lower catwalk platform. Facing the pillar’s right side place the portals on both the lower and upper catwalk to reach the floor above.

Next up is a similar room as before. Both water and gel are being released in this section. Position the orange portal under the gel and use the blue one to break free the cube. Grab the cube and rinse it with water and then place it on the switch.

This will lower the lift. Position the blue portal under the lift Move the portal anywhere and use the lift. Place the blue portal above the cube which will move the lift to the elevator.

Test Chamber #6
Place one of the portals to the wall on the far side. Place the other one on a wall inside the building to get to the catwalk on the far side. After entering the main room, fire a blue portal on the floor and the orange one above the catwalk.

Move through these portal and place the orange portal this time just below the end of the catwalk.Fall onto the blue portal and while you are emerging from it, position the orange portal onto the left wall. Moving back through the portals again will result into your positioning to the offices above. Press both the levers and move ahead through the opened door.

In the next section, position the blue portal on the catwalk while the orange one should be place in front of the door. Use these portal to move up and place another blue portal on the slanted wall to your right side. Jump onto the orange portal reach the second floor. Mark GlaDos and move to the main area and then position a blue portal above the catwalk again.

Use the orange portal again to get to the top, Now place a blue portal up in such a way that it is aligned with the elevator. Jump again onto the orange portal to exit the chamber.

Chapter 7 – The Reunion

Test Chamber #1
You should place the orange portal beneath the gel emitter and the blue portal on the ceiling. Move through the portals and after getting to the ledge, position a blue portal on the lower wall. Press the button. The orange gel will spread all over.

After replacing the first blue portal move across the gel to reach the other side. Place the orange portal on the left and head to the next section. Repeat the procedure that is first place the blue portal below the dispenser to spread the gel. Place the portals in such a way that you can grab the cube and get back.

Place the cube on the button and reach the upper Chapter. Place two portals, one on the floor and one behind the sticky pathway. Move through these portals (speed up) and get to the switch which will open the door. Move through the grills to move to the next section. You can find both orange and blue gels in this area.

Fire the blue portal on the pillar and the orange one beneath the orange gel emitter. Now position a portal below the blue gel emitter and the other one on the ceiling pad. Cover the ledge at the first side with blue gel and perform a speed jump to get to the platform. Another portal pair, first one on the pillar and the other one below you.

Position your orange portal to get back and another orange portal on the closer of the pillar and use these portals to get to the exit.

Test Chamber #2
In this area, the gel won’t stick to the floor. Fire the blue portal below the blue gel emitter tube while the orange one on the slanted wall on the other side. After the tilted portion is covered with the gel, position the orange portal beneath the vertical wall.

The orange portal should be placed below the emitter so that the runway is immersed in gel. Move through these portals and then place a blue one the slanted wall behind. Run through your portals and you will get sufficient momentum to reach the respective platform. You can find a cube here.

Place a portal back on the blue gel and the other portal under the moving platform (controlled by a switch). Now adjust your portals in such a way that you can get to the switch. Place the cube on the switch and use the portals to get to the runway area.

Position the blue portal on the wall. You will find a white wall above you. Fire the orange portal here. Speed up through the orange gel which will render you with the momentum to reach the exit.

Test Chamber #3
Place two portals, one on the catwalk platform and the other one on any wall. Get passed the grill through the portals. Blue portal should be positioned on the platform you are walking on and the orange portal near the Gas Station symbol above. Move through these portals and the grill.

Release both blue and orange gel in the control room. To avoid the pumps, position a portal near you and the other one at the entrance. Position a portal the wall which is now covered with white paint to get to the broken platform. Jump on the blue gel to get to the higher Chapter. Position a blue portal on the right wall and run on the gel to get to the other side. After moving through the door on the right side, place a portal (orange) on the slanted wall.

To reach Johnson’s Enrichment Center, head back to the previous room and hit onto the blue portal while moving through the orange gel. Enter the room on the right side and release the door. You will find a tube releasing white paint in the next area.

To throw the paint on the large pillars on the left, place two portals near the tube releasing the paint. Keep moving your portal till the pillar is completely covered with the paint.

To get to the top, place a portal on the top of right pillar. Position the orange portal on the slanted wall. To the other side of the pillar, position the blue portal below you. In the next section position some portals to get to the broken elevator.

After positioning the blue portal on the floor, move to the destroyed platform. Place the orange portal below here and if you jump onto it, you will reach the ledge where you need to replace the orange portal.

Head back into the elevator which will result in your emergence from the orange portal. Place a blue portal on the slanted wall quickly. You will fall back to the orange portal which will lead to the exit.

Test Chamber #4
Place the orange portal on the top of any of the 4 pillars and the blue portal to the bottom. Facing the piped wall, place the orange portal on the slanted wall. Shoot a blue portal over the edge and jump onto it. This will get you to the second Chapter. Place the blue portal below this to reach the tilted floor. Place another portal below to get to the third floor.

Putting the orange portal on the ground here, move through the blue portal. After you are out of the orange portal, position blue portals to get to the 4th Chapter. Move further to enter a room. Position two portals, one below the white while the other one on the ceiling above the slanted wall.

After the wall is painted, position the blue portal on the upper wall and other portal (orange) on the orange gel. After the ground is covered with the gel, place the orange portal on the slanted wall and run through these portals to get to the above Chapter.

Another portal pair, the blue one on the white paint below while the orange portal should be placed on the bare land. After the roof is painted all with white place two portals, one (blue) on the ceiling and the other one (orange) to the place where the blue gel is being dropped.

Head back to the previous Chapter and adjust your portals again to get to the second Chapter. IF the blue gel is placed properly, you will get to the next Chapter. In the next section, place the blue portal in the white paint while the orange one can be placed above the platform.

Move to the other end and place an orange portal on the left wall. The area will be covered with paint and the next thing you should after this is a position a blue portal on the shaft. Head back to that small room and from here you can use the orange portal to get inside that shaft.
Look for the barrier and fire a portal through it.

Now get back to the white floor in the shaft and position a portal to get to the gel control room. Place two portals, one on the catwalk and the other one in such a way (below) that it moves the broken rail. After reaching the top place one portal on the paint to the far right side and other one below from the edge of the platform. Jump down and use the speed to get to the exit area. Press the button and get into the lift.

Chapter 8 – The Itch

Test Chamber #1
Position a portal on the wall of the small room, the next portal should be placed (look for the shaft to the right) to get to the catwalks area below. Use the rails to get to the lift on the far right side. Keep on moving and after Wheatley is done with it’s task, place a cube on the weight.

Hit the button next to release another cube that will fall on the button. Position the 2 portals to get to the exit. Can’t exit the chamber? Repeat it again from the beginning and this time you will be able to reach the next chamber.

Test Chamber #2
You will for the first time some sort of light energy channels. Reach the second Chapter using the light and then place an orange portal above. Shoot the blue portal at the corner above the exit area. Use the light beam again to get the cube above. Position the portals and get back to the bottom surface.

Place the cube on the button and place one of the portals on the light channel. Force the cube to move the button by placing a portal beside it. Move to the next chamber.

Test Chamber #3
Fire a blue portal on the wall to the right side. Move down into the light channel and strike the wall with the orange portal. Move through the portals and when you see a checkered surface, fire the blue portal on it. Now move using the vertical channel appeared to get to the switch above. Place a blue portal to drop the cube.

While the cube moves above the checkered floor, move your blue portal such that the cube reaches you. Next, position the cube on the white floor and also place a blue portal to strike the button above. Unlocked door leads to the elevator.

Test Chamber #4
Shoot the blue portal at the end of the channel and the orange portal to the left corner so that a shaft is made at the others side of the room. Now place the orange portal such that it is right beneath the cube releaser. Hit the switch and after it walls, allow it to move till it halts its movement.

After the cube is stopped, use the orange portal to bring it to your surface. Now you need to build a surface for safe landing pad. For that fire a portal (orange) in front of the black and blue objects. Catch the heavy cube and bounce onto the nearby pad to reach the light channel and then back to the room.

Place the cube on the checkered path and place one cube on the top of the back wall. Position a portal beneath you to reach the locked door. Position another blue one at the end of the light tunnel and the orange portal below the heavy cube so that is raised to lowest of the white walls. Next, use the orange portal to strike the cube against the button to open the door.

Test Chamber #5
Position the blue portal on the checkered wall so that it hits light beam tunnel. Block the laser sight by placing the orange portal in front of it. It will knock out the turret. Position the orange portal on the left wall to catch the heavy cube.

Change the current’s flow to move the cube to the corner by standing on the switch (red). Fire the orange portal on the other wall of the same corner to move the cube towards you. Place the cube on the button and move to the other side using the tunnel.

Adjust the beam such that it moves the cube into the pit. Place the orange portal on the floor to get to the elevator.

Test Chamber #6
Place the blue portal at the end of the tunnel. You should see a couple of white panel behind you, place the orange portal on one of them. Ride the channel to reach the center panel and place the orange portal on this place. While moving to the top, shoot the blue portal on the wall to reach the exit area with a button.

To make the tunnel radiate from the center panel, replace your portals on the light channel. Press the button and the cube will be launched into the light shaft. Drop the beam by placing your other portal on the same slanted platform so that the cube reaches your position. Place the cube on the switch to get to the elevator.

Test Chamber #7
Position the orange portal at the end point of the light bridge and place the blue one on the grill ahead. Press the switch release the cube that will hit the bridge. Grab the cube by placing portals (to reach the cube). Bring the cube to the main Chapter. You will also have to evade turret’s line of sight.

Head to your orange portal on the bridge again and place the blue portal (by looking up) on the catwalk. Take the cube, jump on the pad and reach the upper Chapter. You can block the turret sensors by placing the blue portal in the turret pits. Pick the cube (from behind the grill) and place it on the button.

Move towards the small corner and position the blue portal in here. Place again the blue portal above the catwalk and then jump again onto the pad to get to the second floor to leave the chamber.

Test Chamber #8
At the start, place a blue portal under the light channel and the orange portal on the checkered surface near the entrance. Using the tunnel (channel), get to the top and fire a blue portal on the tilted object in front of you. Move through the portals and you will end up on a place with a heavy cube.

Take the cube and block the laser’s path using it. Move back to the main floor and place portals on the slanted platforms in the room. Use the single jump pad to get to the reflection (redirection) cube. Next, alter the heavy cube with the reflector and take the former cube back above.

Place the carried cube on the checkered floor below the red button and leave it as such. Now position your portals in such a way that the laser is redirected to the first floor. The lift will drop. Get into it. Place a portal under the reflector to disturb the flow of laser. By this, lifts are raised and the energy channel is restarted.

Place another portal pair. One under the tunnel and the other one under the heavy cube. Get into the lowered lift; displace the cube by moving either portal. Once at the top, move through the door to get to the elevator.

Test Chamber #9
You will find two laser nodes in this chamber. Adjust your portals in such a way that the laser reaches the bottom sensor. Also let it move under the white wall (to the left). Place another portal to get to the top safely. Time to readjust the laser in such a manner that only of the platform obstructs the laser passage.

Quickly, alter your portals so that laser hits the node above instead of you. Head to the other side of the bridge and strike the bottom node to get to the cube control switch. After the platform has moved on the other side below the reflection cube tube, activate the switch and the cube will fall on the platform.

Use the portals to get to the cube, grab it and take it to the other side of the laser wall. Leave the portal so that the beam ultimately reaches you and the cube. Adjust the reflector now so that it hits the sensor above the door. Move to the cube control again and position a portal to get to the other side. After the laser is shifted to the main node, get to the elevator through the door.

Test Chamber #10
Hit the switch to release a cube. Place the blue portal on the generator of light channel (tunnel) and the orange one should be placed on the white wall behind the buttons. Stand on the button and the cube on the tunnel will move forward. Now move the orange portal on the wall that is in front of the switches. Cube will drop and reach you ultimately.

Place the portals to get to the room on the left side and drag the cube with you. Place the cube on the button and get back to the main room. Alter the blue portal you placed on the tunnel generator before and the orange portal should be placed under the gelling tube.

Stand on tunnel’s control panel and wait till the gel is being passed over the ramp and the runway. Replace the orange portal which will deposit the gel all over. Repeat the procedure (enter the small room again using portals) and bring back the cube to the main area (room).

Place the cube on the light tunnel controls and position the portals so that the tunnel emits from the room on the right side. Speed through the gel and get to the other end. You will get to the exit elevator provided that the light tunnel is placed correctly.

Test Chamber #11
Place the blue portal beneath the blue gel tube and the orange portal anywhere you want to get to the other side. Here, place the blue portal on the other side of the channel and press the button afterwards. Gel will start flowing through the tunnel to the entrance. To make some gel fall on the black floor ahead, you need disturb the beam.

Turn the beam back to continuous and quickly use the fallen gel to get to the tunnel. On reaching the button, press it hurriedly to reverse the flow in light channel. Allow the gel to move through the portals back to the light channel. After shooting the portal over the turrets on the right, step off the button. Once the gel is all over the turrets, disturb the flow to destroy the turrets.

Now move to the other side of the glass and strike the switch to reveal a slanted platform. Plant your blue portal at the end of the tunnel and the orange one on the ground. Move up the tunnel and firing the blue portal on the slanted platform you will have enough speed to get to the elevator.

Chapter 9 – The Part Where

Test Chamber #1
You need to be quick at the start. Jump on the pad and follow Wheatley. Place the first portal on the falling gel and the other one on the white wall to your left. Once the gel is disturbed position your blue portal under to get to the catwalk.

Move along this section till the broken part. Place two portal one on the small whit wall above and the other one below you. Jump onto it to get to the next platform, when the next trap strikes, place another pair of portal, one to the left and the other above the high catwalk. Move to the other side and then to the exit.

Test Chamber #2
Wall will strike each other, wait for this to happen and then move forward .Fire the orange portal ahead (on the white wall and the blue one through the grates above. Move on to reach the catwalk platform on the other side. Turrets are back again. To get rid of them, place a portal at the end of the light tunnel and other one on the white wall behind the turrets.

Jump through the beam and get to the other side. Beware of the machine to that can grind you. Move through the grill and in the next room place the orange portal under the light tunnel and the blue portal on the wall behind you. Use the portal to get across.

After the crushers appear, reposition the blue portal to the white wall that has just shown up. Next head to the catwalk and then through the grill to the next section. Move over the gel and you will reach a room with turrets. Position two portals, one on the right wall and the other one above the broken window above. You will reach the gel control area.

Place the orange portal below the jump gel tube and the press the button to release the gel. If you fire the orange portal repeatedly on the far right side wall then the area will be flooded with the gel and destroy all the turrets. Use your portals to get to the jump pad and then ultimately back to the catwalk. Move up the stairs to exit.

Test Chamber #3
Place the blue portal on the white portion of the bomb tube. Now place the orange portal on the wall facing the gel tubes. To release the gel, press the button in the room. Position the orange portal on this transformed surface and head to the other end.

Move down the catwalks and then to the conveyor belt. Now position the blue portal under the orange gel tube and the orange one under the bomb tube. Press the button to release the gel and place a blue portal on the other end of the conveyor belt. Once the belt is covered with the gel, run across to get to the other side.

Move right, after another right turn, place the blue portal forward and the orange one on the railed floor to the left below the light tunnel above you. On the other side, move down to the catwalks and then through the grill.

Test Chamber #4
Fire two portals, one on the ground and the other one on the roof behind you to get to the ruptured chamber. After plugging GLaDOS into the control panel, you will be up against the boss that you need to defeat within 5 minutes of time window.

You can defeat the bad one with simple tactic. While standing in front of the tube, allow Wheatley to fire at the robot. Also place two portals, one behind Wheatley and the other one just in front of you. The robot will retreat.

In the meanwhile, position another portal on the catwalk and get the cube provided by GlaDOS. Jump back and stick Wheatley with the core. Repeat the same bombing strategy on the return of the robot.
After you using the bomb-portal attack thrice, orange gel will be released in the far corner and the blue one should be placed under the last core.

Pick up the core speeding through the gel and place the blue portal high on the slanted platform and move through the portals to position the third core. At the end, position the orange portal on the white surface and the blue one in the room.

As you move across, you will be thrown back. For the last time in the single player campaign, fire a blue portal at the moon to finish the long adventurous puzzle enriched journey.
