Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception – Story, Characters, and Vehicles

The latest issue of Official Playstation Magazine revealed handful of information on Naughty Dog’s Playstation 3 exclusive Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

Creative director, Amy Henning talked about the work that has been done to improve the game’s visuals and how it correctly portrays the sand in the desert, the way sand blows over and curls over the tops of dunes, the way it displaces and flows – it’s almost a liquid, she said.

Drake will spend most of this time exploring the Arabian dunes of Rub’ al Khali. Which is pretty obvious since the story follows Lawrence Of Arabia, and his fascination with Iram Of The Pillars.

You will be do a lot of traveling in the game, visit places all over the World including London.

Vehicular gameplay will add to the dynamic gameplay of the game with confirmed Bike sections. Developer has gone ahead to confirm this by saying: “We have a strong tradition of vehicular gameplay, and we try not to repeat ourselves”.

The story to the game is still being written and altered, but villain Katherine Marlowe is part of a secret order that dates back to Queen Elizabeth I. Interesting!

Uncharted 3 will feature a new improved melee system taking everything in hand putting it to a good use with new stealth and improved gameplay mechanics. So, you don’t need a knife to melee, a bottle on the head would do the job.

There is a whole lot more in the preview of Uncharted 3 in issue 57 of the Official Playstation magazine. Grab it to read through the detailed information.
