You will get The Librarian achievement after you have collected a hundred (100) logs in Dead Space 2. Some of these logs will be story related so you won’t miss them. You can follow this walk-through to know the locations of all the remaining logs.
Dead Space 2 Logs
There are three types of Logs in the game.
- Text Logs – These are simply text files usually of emails.
- Audio Logs – These are audio recordings of communications between various members of the crew and also messages that have been left behind by those who have been cornered.
- Video Logs – These are usually security feeds and video diary entries.
Chapter 1
Text Log: Orderly TPS Report: 1411
After you leave the room with the dead soldier (where you hear a conversation between other soldiers), turn left at the intersection and check the nearby room. You will find the the log on the left table.
Text Log: Heisenberg
You will find this in the room where Isaac requires Stasis.
Text Log: Secrecy
You will find this behind the counter in the room with the balloons.
Text Log: Anxiety Spike
You will find this in Titan Memorial Medical Center, lower lobby at the reception desk.
Audio Log: Run Isaac
You will acquire this after Isaac manages to push Franco away.
Audio Log: Popsicle Sticks
You will find this in the Patient Rec Room.
Audio Log: Shotgun Wedding
This is acquired after Isaac falls into the room where he gets his Kinesis.
Audio Log: Shit the bed
After acquiring the first plasma cutter, head forwards til the overhead fire extinguishers turn on and you are attacked by some necromorphs right after. There should be a hallway ahead which will be blocked by debris. On the other side of the debris is an item box and this audio log. Use your kinesis module to get it.
Audio Log: Cut off their Limbs
Given after Isaac acquires his Plasma Cutter.
Audio Log: Bulkhead Fight
Given after you encounter Patient Five and get stuck in the security lock-down.
Audio Log: Bulkhead Reconciliation
Acquired after defeating the Slashers are defeated in Titan Memorial Medical Center.

You will find this in the Conduit Room on your left after leaving the elevator where Isaac had a vision of Nicole.

Given if the player takes too long to use kinesis to break out of the room after acquiring the Kinesis Module.
