2011 – 11 Best Xbox 360 Games

Xbox 360 may not be the most exciting console in terms of exclusives this year. But, it has got enough variety in games to keep the loyal fans excited.

11 Best Xbox 360 Games of 2011

Gears of War 3
Gears of War 3 comes with bigger story – two stories running simultaneously which will make singleplayer campaign more compelling. That said, Epic is clearly working on getting the multiplayer tweaked and balanced up right to go along with singleplayer epicness. If you have Xbox 360, you don’t want to miss Gears of War III this year.

One of the beloved games on PC gets a total reboot thanks to the developer behind Bioshock 2. The classic turn based strategy game of the nineties will see itself going full FPS for Xbox 360 in 2011.

Forza Motorsports 4
The ground-breaking Forza Motorsport series will return to Xbox 360 in fall 2011, featuring support for Kinect as well as the classic controls you’ve come to expect from the Forza series.

Kingdoms is an action adventure or role playing game set in fantasy world. One of the interesting sides to this game is that it’s developed by Crytek who take pride in developing modern day action first person shooters. Game is set to release in 2011.

StarWars Kinect
Now you finally be able to swing your own light saber and use the force. Game is set to release fall 2011. You can watch the tech demo here.

Rise of Nightmares
A survival horror game by Sega for Kinect. Not much information on this game though. It would be interesting to see how a horror game shapes up on Kinect for Xbox 360.

Codename D
It’s a super secret Kinect title developed by Suda 51 and his team at Grasshopper. Interestingly the game is to appeal more to hardcore gamers but I have no idea how and why. Not much information on this game, and Codename D may well not be the game’s final name.

Project Draco
Another Xbox 360 exclusive title developed by the name behind the infamous Panzer Dracoon. If that name sounds some bells, you may want to wait for it. The TGS trailer for the game shows dragons and dragon riders on top and it seems like if they are invading the enemy. We don’t get to know if they were the good guys or the bad guys. It would be interesting either way but one thing for sure the game is set to release in 2011. You can watch the cinematic here.

Steal Battalion: Heavy Armor
It would be interesting to see how Capcom makes a heavily controller oriented game into one that doesn’t require any controller. It’s the another Xbox 360 exclusive title with Kinect support.

The Secret World
Funcom takes MMORPG genre into another dimension and introduces the real world MMO by drawing inspiration from ancient history, stories of lost cities and forgotten civilizations, folktales, urban legends, conspiracy theories, and pop culture.

Haunt is a horror game designed by Masaya Matsuura based around Kinect. This first-person perspective horror game uses cartoony art style and a fun, spooky atmosphere to draw players into the story of haunted mansion. Players will use the flashlight to see the objects as they explore the mansion.
