By   /   Nov 6, 2010

EA has revealed first trailer of Battlefield Play4Free, a game with the title of “a deep PC shooter featuring signature Battlefield vehicular warfare, sandbox gameplay and intense 32-player online battles.” Something in which you can play a role of a professional solider.

So get yourself registered through the Closed Beta. Be ready to play free, the business model will most probably be micro transactions driven. Battlefield: Play4Free has gone live. Sign-ups are under way, so rush.

The last Play4Free Battlefield title by EA was Battlefield Heroes back in 2009, an FPS primarily targeting kids.

“We broke new ground in 2009 with the launch of Battlefield Heroes; a game that has 6M registered players worldwide. Now we are complementing that arcade shooter with a core, realistic Battlefield shooter experience that fans have been clamoring for,” said senior producer, James Salt.

“Battlefield Play4Free is for serious shooter fans that are looking for a premium — but free — experience that rivals top console titles.”

Battlefield: Play4Free will be a unique combo of Battlefield 2 and Bad Company 2, with the “most popular maps” of Battlefield 2 and “the familiar classes and powerful weapons” of BFBC2.

It is expected that the game will link up with itself, heroes and battlefield 3. The game will go live in spring 2011, so fingers crossed and let’s hope for the best, but for now, you can get all excited by watching the trailer below.
