iPhone Update 2.2.1 by Apple

Since November Apple has released its first major update for the iPhone. The good news for the iPhone users is that this time this update fixes some bugs, tweaks and includes some minor improvements. It also fixes the image problem in which pictures saved from Mail don’t display properly in the Camera Roll.

For iPod touch users the update also fixes an issue that caused some Apple Lossless (ALAC) audio files to during playback. Despite the brief and unexciting list of new features, the 2.2.1 update is just as big as its predecessor, weighing in at a full 246.4MB.

As usual, to get the update users need only to plug their device into their computer and the update will roll in via iTunes – though if you have a jailbroken phone perhaps you will want to hold off until it is confirmed that it’s safe to update.

To update go into iTunes and select iPhone > Check for Updates
