Modern Warfare 2 is out on all platforms and it has been rocking on consoles but PC. Anyway if you were wondering how you can play Modern Warfare 2 Spec Ops Co op missions on virtual private networks like Hamachi, you ended up at the right place. Step by Step Method to Play Modern Warfare 2 Spec Ops on Hamachi
Step 1
First you need to download working crack from File Planet or MediaFire and replace them with the files in the game folder.
Step 2
Copy the TeknoGods_MW2SP.exe and TeknoMW2.dll to your game folder. After you have done that, make a shortcut to TeknoGods_MW2SP.exe and add –ip=<hamachi IP> in the target box. Like in my case it is:
“E:\Activision\Modern Warfare 2\ TeknoGods_MW2SP.exe” –ip=myhamachiIP
Step 3
Now Run TeknoGods_MW2SP.exe, and choose Spec Ops to play the Co op Missions.Choose “Two Player Online” and you will end up in lobby, now press F12 to connect to your friend (Who will host the game) and start pawning.
Note:Steam is required for Spec Ops so you should be logged in to your
steam account.Turn off your firewall otherwise this method may not work. And I don’t feel like telling “You will need to be in same ‘Hamachi Network’ in order to play the game.

It will happen mostly when you have had your Co op crack files messed up. If you get this message then you can download these Modern Warfare 2 Co op Lan Files to fix the issue.

i’ve done everythin right but when i double click the shortcut it comes up with fatal error sayin steam must be on, but i am connected and in steam so wtf? anyone know of a fix?

hey guys I tried changing the target in the properties section of the shortcut but after putting the ip and clicking apply windows tells me that it is invalid and to check path and filename. whats wrong?

It works exactly as it is stated… And why you can add anything to your target box is beyond my understanding.
I got it working – sort of. I did everything as it says, the game does start, I can connect to Spec-Ops, but when I press F12 – nothing happens. I think I can host a new game, but I’ve waited for a while and no one joined.. Anyways, how come F12 does nothing?
Nevermind, I just needed to put 2 dashes in the shortcut target… Now F12 works, but it gives an error that “Unable to connect because then host is not currectly disconnected and listening for co-op connections” – but I suppose it’s because the game can’t find hosts, right? I’ll try a different Hamachi network (if I can’t find one that isn’t full).
So I have 2 computers, one has the hamachi IP address in the target box, now what do i put in the shortcut of the second computer whose joining the LAN?? the same hamachi ip as the host computer? im confused
Only the client who is joining the co op game hosted by another player or in your case on your another computer, needs to put the ip of the Host in the target box.
Only client or the joining player needs to put the IP in the target box and that is the IP of the Host computer hosting the co op game.
i am not sure if i got this right , so i launch gae using fixed shrotcut with nothing added in the target box , i go into two player coop, now on other pc i add ip of the first one go to coop and press f12 to search games , F12 does absolutely nothing.
