Destiny 2 PC Version Will Allow Players To Set Upper Limit For FPS, Will Also Feature A FPS Monitor

Destiny 2 PC version will not be a console port and will feel like a PC game and players will be able to adjust the upper limit of FPS.

Destiny 2 is scheduled to launch this fall and unlike the first game, the sequel will also launch for PC along with the console. Bungie has already explained that Destiny 2 PC version will not be a console port and will feel like a PC game and now the devs have revealed that players will be able to adjust the upper limit of FPS on PC.

During the Q&A on the weekly update, Bungie revealed that Destiny 2 PC will have an FPS counter and players will be able to set the upper limit of frames per second for the game and will also allow players to monitor their FPS for the game in real-time.

However, Bungie has revealed that players will be able to set the FPS limit through the config file, “Destiny 2 on PC will include the ability to specify a frame rate upper-limit (via a config file)”.

Furthermore, the studio has confirmed that the PC version of Destiny 2 will block some of the third-party apps for in game capture and voice chat. According to Bungie, the studio is blocking these third-party apps to prevent cheating in Destiny 2 on PC.

To help ensure that every player will have a fair shot at fun and glory in Destiny 2 on PC, we resist attempts by third-party applications to insert code into the game client. This may result in incompatibility between Destiny 2 PC and the features of common third-party applications.

Also, Bungie has detailed the content that will be featured in the upcoming Destiny 2 PC beta. According to Bungie, the PC beta of the game will include homecoming mission, the Inverted Spire Strike, and the Countdown and Control multiplayer modes which were already featured in the console beta but, it will also include some new content too.

Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter in development at Bungie and is scheduled to launch this fall for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
