Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Could Soon Be Backwards Compatible on Xbox One

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series has been among the most favorite games of all times. The franchise falls under top 10 most selling games in the world. It gained popularity on last-gen consoles and have now been a dominant shooter on current-gen consoles.

Recently the massively popular Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is added by Xbox DVR twitter group on the backward compatibility list. Any other details aren’t mentioned as of now.

Fans of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 have rejoiced seeing this news from the original user voice page.

Call of Duty MW 2 has gotten 183,064 votes to be added to the Xbox One Backward Compatible games’ list. The game was originally released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 10, 2009. It has sold 22.7 million copies. This game is the second best-selling game of all times in both UK and USA.

This news proved to be very exciting since Modern Warfare 2 has an enormous fan base and there are many people who have tons of hours, achievements and memories put in that game. That they want to rejoice playing the game on XBOX one consoles. The backward compatibility will highly anticipate.

The Xbox DVR account originally tweeted that the game will be available today but it wasn’t the case as the four pack of titles announced for backward compatibility included the Batman Arkham origins, Fighting Vipers, Deadliest Warrior: The Game and Disney’s Bolt. Another title is coming to Xbox One BC this Thursday might as well be Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

This would be a smart move by Activision since the Modern Warfare Remaster was also a good success to the current platforms, this game with its large community base for online multiplayer will prove the same.
