Conan Exiles Xbox One Port Coming August 16, Playstation 4 Comes Later

A Conan Exiles Xbox One port is going to be coming to the console August 16, just in time for a new expansion to come for the game.

A Conan Exiles Xbox One port will be coming to the Xbox One on August 16 as a part of the Microsoft Game Preview program. The game is based on the Conan the Barbarian series of books by Robert E. Howard, and is an open-world survival game, and got an expansion recently.

The Xbox One version of the game will run concurrently with the PC version, getting all of the same updates and launching with the same amount of content that the PC version currently has. This likely includes the expansion that will be coming, “The Frozen North”, which will be releasing on the same day as the port.

The game puts you in the role of one of many thousands of barbarians in the Conan world that have been exiled into a hostile environment, filled with deadly perils and surrounded on all sides by enemies, meaning you have to fight to survive in it.

The game brings to mind a previous Age of Conan game, Hyborian Adventures, which was an MMO that released back in 2008. There, players could create cities and build clans while also fighting enemies around the map. However, it failed rather quickly due to a lack of end-game content and things to keep players interested.

The Conan Exiles Xbox One port will allow Xbox One players to hopefully join the PC crowd in moving from the deserts of the game’s original environment, the Exiled Lands, and instead go north, to a place filled with trees and snow and mountains that one may think of as more Conan-ish.

Either way, we’ll be seeing the Conan Exiles Xbox One port on August 16 if you’re on the Xbox One and want to play it. The game will also be one of the games that will be ported to 4K for the Xbox One X. It will be coming to the Playstation 4 at a later date, as that version is in development.
