Razer Chroma HDK Lightens Up Your Room While You Game

By   /   Aug 4, 2017

Razer has made plenty of gaming peripherals and the company is known for integrating RGB into peripherals but now the Razer Chroma HDK allows users to push RGB functionality beyond the mouse and keyboard. You can customize the lighting and sync it with your system depending on your preference.

You can use the Razer Chroma HDK as you please, on the case, on the wall or on the desk. It is your call. It will integrate with the rest of the system and give you an immersive experience unlike anything else. This is the developers kit so it is important to note that the consumer version can be different.

The light bar included will sync with the rest of the peripherals as well and it is very flexible so it can be placed in various positions. If you are looking to make the ultimate gaming room setup then this is something worth looking into.

The Razer Chroma HDK module comes with two 50 cm long LED light strips, each with 16 LEDs, two 30 cm extension lines, one 100 cm USB cable and power cables and power supply. This is a Razer product so you already know that this will not come cheap.

If you are interested in buying the Razer Chroma HDK then it will cost you $79.99. In other news we also heard that Razer might be entering the smartphone market as well. Razer recently acquired Nextbit, a smartphone company that went bust. According to Nextbit:

“I’m thrilled to announce that we’re joining the Razer family! They’re rebels like us, they speak from the heart, and they share our need to push boundaries. Nextbit will operate as an independent division inside Razer, focused on unique mobile design and experiences. To put it simply, we’ll be doing exactly what we’ve been doing all along, only bigger and better.

If you’re curious what this means for Robin, don’t worry. While we have stopped selling Robin and all accessories through our official channels, we are still dedicated to supporting all of you. We will continue to fulfill warranties for 6 more months. And as promised, we will continue to provide software updates and security patches through February 2018.”

This could also mean that Razer is not only planning on making smartphones but a device that will rival the Nintendo Switch. This is speculation as of right now, but time will tell.
