AMD Ryzen has been out for some time now and AMD has announced that AMD Ryzen 3 CPUs will also be coming out later this month. Having that said new information reveals that when it comes to market share AMD Ryzen 5 1600 beats the Intel 7600K which means that more people are using the AMD Ryzen 5 1600 as compared to the Intel 7600K.

In all fairness, this is information from the last 30 days but still, it does not mean that this is not important. Intel should really think about what the company is going to do in order to compete with AMD. Marketing gimmicks are not going to cut it anymore. We heard about Intel working on a new core for upcoming CPUs but that is at least 5-7 years away.

According to the market share, in the past 30 days, 1.74% of the people bought the AMD Ryzen 5 1600 while 1.49% people bought the Intel 7600K. This might not be a significant difference for some people but you need to remember that AMD is the underdog here and Intel has been the CPU market leader for as long as we can remember. All that could change now.

The AMD Ryzen 5 1600 has 6 cores and 12 threads, while the Intel 7600K has 4 cores. The AMD CPU has a base clock of 3.2 GHz and it can boost to 3.6 GHz. While you cannot overclock this CPU unlike the Intel CPU we are considering here the more cores and more threads do give you an advantage considering that the CPU only costs $214 on Newegg.

It was just a matter of time before people realized how affordable AMD Ryzen was and now people are moving to AMD. If you think about it if you are switching from an older generation then you need to change your motherboard and RAM when you move to the latest generation of Intel CPUs. So why not give AMD a try?

Let us know what you think about the AMD Ryzen 5 1600 and whether or not you are using one.
