WWE 2K18 is set to launch this fall and fans are excited about the game. WWE 2K18 is one of the many third party titles that will launch for Nintendo Switch. However, with the game coming to Switch many are worried that the Switch port of the game might be based on legacy consoles but, devs have clarified that it will not be.

While replying to a fan of Twitter the devs revealed that Nintendo Switch version of WWE 2K18 will not be based on the legacy consoles. This comes following the announcement of FIFA 18 Switch version being different from PC and current gen consoles.

The Switch port of FIFA 18 will not be developed on Frostbite engine unlike the PC and current gen versions. Also, the Switch version of FIFA 18 will not include the game’s single-player campaign, The Journey mode. The Journey: Hunter Returns, will also be exclusive to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version and will not be included in Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18. This indicates that the single-player mode is just too demanding.

The upcoming WWE title will even have a “story mode” in the form of the “My Career” mode, which will be “more concise” and will apparently focus more on storytelling. If there’s one thing WWE loves, stories, so it’ll definitely be interesting.

WWE 2K18 is releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this year.
