Report: Rare Pikachu Coming To Pokemon Go

Niantic Labs has been supporting it since launch with new events and it seems that a rare Pikachu is coming to Pokemon Go according to a report.

Pokemon Go is a mobile title launched last year but, the game is still going strong as the game has passed $1.2 billion in revenue. Developer Niantic Labs has been supporting the game since its launch with new Pokemon and events and it seems that a rare Pikachu is coming to the mobile title according to a report.

According to Reddit user, legoturtle92, Niantic Labs is planning to bring a rare Pikachu to Pokemon Go. According to the Redditor, he is a 3D modeler, animator and game designer”. He added that “I am attending ACM Siggraph, a large convention for people in the animation industry. I just received an email and a small part of it stood out to me that I thought you’d want to know.”

The Redditor posted an image of the e-mail he/she received from the SIGGRAPH 2017 Conference Chair, Jerome Solomon. The image you can see below states that “Niantic, Inc, creator of Pokémon GO, will release a rare Pikachu” as part of a new experience.

In related news, Niantic Labs has partnered with UK heritage organization to bring life to the ancient English city of Chester though Pokemon Go. Niantic will hold a special event in Chester starting from July 22- July 23, 2017. The event will feature special activities across the city, the events will take place at Chester Castle which will be open to public first time in 20 years.

Pokemon Go is an augmented reality game developed by Niantic Labs for Android and iOS.
