Hearthstone Leak Reveals Knights of the Frozen Throne Expansion

The highly anticipated upcoming expansion pack of Hearthstone is allegedly called Knights of the Frozen Throne, if a new leak is to be believed.

A website banner obtained from the official Chinese division of the game was posted on Reddit a couple of hours back. It contains both the name and logo of the next expansion, and certainly looks legitimate.

Most importantly, all the nine playable heroes of Hearthstone are depicted in the banner but appear corrupted by the malice of Frostmourne. Unfortunately, there is no appearance of Arthas, the Lich King.

Last week, Blizzard stated that it would be announcing the new expansion pack with the start of the Spring Hearthstone Championship Tour (HCT) later today. The timing of the leak is certainly accurate, and also fits into previous rumors that we will be heading to Northrend to once again step foot inside the Icecrown Citadel.

Regardless of whether Knights of the Frozen Throne is legitimate or not, we should be hearing from the developer soon.

In other news, Hearthstone is currently celebrating the Midsummer Fire Festival with a new special Tavern Brawl. It gives players the opportunity to unlock a new emote and earn double the gold value from completing any quests in the next couple of weeks.
