Splatoon 2 Guide

The upcoming Nintendo Direct will focus on Splatoon 2 and is scheduled to air this Thursday, Jul. 06, 2017, Nintendo of America has announced. According to NoA, this special Nintendo Direct will showcase some of the new features and will serve as a re-FRESH-er for those who haven’t been keeping tabs on the game.

The livestream will begin at 10:00 a.m. EST / 07:00 p.m. PST and will be available on both Twitch.tv and Nintendo’s official website. Although the tweet didn’t go into any specifics, I believe we will learn potential ammibos and singleplayer campaign of the game.

Next Nintendo Direct to Focus on Splatoon 2

As one of the biggest titles to launch for Nintendo Switch, this is certainly not the first Splatoon-2-themed Nintendo Direct that the company is going for. However, with only a few weeks left until the game’s official release, this appears to be the last one. The idea of Nintendo aggressively promoting the game makes sense since Nintendo Switch is in dire need of more brilliant first-party games.

So far, we know that the upcoming game will feature a singleplayer campaign, a horde mode called Salmon Run, local multiplayer supporting up to eight Nintendo Switch consoles, and has an eSports side. We will have more on Splatoon 2 after the livestream so make sure to check back.

Splatoon is scheduled to hit the store shelves on Jul. 21, 2017 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
