Bayonetta for Nintendo Switch

Bayonetta is one of the most major IPs for Nintendo platforms and its next installment might be coming to Nintendo Switch. The series is developed by Platinum Games, the studio behind the canceled Scalebound, its official Twitter shared a very interesting image, possibly teasing Bayonetta for Nintendo Switch.

The image shows the lead character in Blue and Red colors, which looks similar to the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons.The Tweet sparked speculation that Platinum Games might be teasing Bayonetta for Nintendo Switch. Comparing the following images paints a very hopeful picture.

It has already been confirmed that Bayonetta 3 is being considered by Platinum Games. However, the new game might feature a new protagonist. Platinum Games stated that they might use a male Bayonetta next time and since the Twitter page shared the female Bayonetta, another possibility is that we are looking at a Nintendo Switch port rather than a new game.

Maybe there would be a male Bayonetta! (laughs). I would like to make Bayonetta 3. We’re talking within the company even now about what to do. But because we’re constantly talking about it, that actually makes it really hard to say. If we weren’t talking about it, we could just say something random or offhand, you know, but because we’re actually talking about it

The original Bayonetta released on PC recently so it is possible that the second game may arrive on the platform as well in addition to Nintendo Switch if this is indeed a tease for a Switch port. We can’t say anything for sure until official confirmation so stay tuned.
