Nintendo Shows Off New Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC Packs
At their E3 conference earlier today, Nintendo released information about tow new Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC packs that would be releasing later this year. These included the Master Trials pack, and the Champion Ballad pack. There was also an announcement that each champion would get an amiibo.
A previous Nintendo announcement already detailed the Master Trials pack, but the Champion Ballad pack is fairly new.
The Master Trials pack includes new armor (such as Tingle’s outfit, the Majora Mask, a Korok mask that helps you find Koroks nearby), a new “Master” difficulty mode, new obstacle courses, and new puzzles. It will also include a new map feature on the Sheikah Slate that will plot where you’ve been for the past few hours, so that you know where you’ve been.
The second of the Breath of the Wild DLC packs is the Champion Ballad pack, which will feature the four other Champions of Hyrule: Mipha, Daruk, Urbosa, and Revali. Each champion will be getting their own amiibo, which you can unlock in order to access hidden treasures. However, we don’t really know anything else about that particular DLC.
These mark only the latest amiibo toys that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has gotten, as numerous others (including Link on horseback, a Guardian, and Wolf Link) have also been put into the game as amiibos with their own uses.
With all of the new content that will be coming with the new Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC packs, hopefully Nintendo will be able to add in even more in the future. Both DLC packs can be picked up if you have the $19.99 Season Pass. The Master Trials pack will be dropping on June 30, while Champions’ Ballad will be releasing sometime in the holiday of this year.
